A compact and feature-packed compass offering superior readability. The numerous mounting alternatives make this compass a versatile navigational aid ideal for a wide variety of applications ranging from power boats and smaller sailboats to tactical racing sailing. This compass is suitable for boats up to 30 feet and is bracket mounted for easy positioning on bulkheads, panels or ceilings.
Suunto powerboat compasses are easy to read, extremely reliable and, thanks to the unique "Quietcard" shock absorber system, highly stable. This patented vibration dampening system is combined with a low inertia card making these compasses ideal for all powerboat applications. Suunto sailboat compasses are equipped with the "Stablecard" system, which makes reading the compass easy even in the toughest conditions. The fitted LED illumination (12 -24 V with 1 watt resistor) has a lifetime of up to 100 000 hours. All Suunto medium size compasses in the 95 & 116 series are supplied complete with a compensator that can be easily adjusted by hand, without the need for non-magnetic tools. The operational temperature range for Suunto medium size boat compasses is -35 °C - +70 °C (-31 °F - +158 °F) and all are covered by a 10-year Suunto warranty.
